YADRE — Franco-Taiwanese contemporary dance company, Paris
Yadre is a Franco-Taiwanese contemporary dance company based in Paris, founded in 2021 by choreographer and dancer Shihya Peng and composer and digital artist Alex Bouvier. The company creates performances where traditional Chinese dance, digital art and electronic music converge.
Each piece brings the body into dialogue with sound and digital imagery, in a constant back-and-forth between two cultures, Taiwan and France, and two artistic languages. The creations draw on traditional roots as much as they break free from them.
Associate artists at Théâtre de l'Onde (Vélizy-Villacoublay), the company is in residence at La Briqueterie CDCN and has been hosted by CN D Centre national de la danse, La Ménagerie de Verre, La Ferme du Buisson and Atelier de Paris CDCN.
